Production Manager

Derik was born and raised on a Wine Farm in Paarl. Having Enrolled at Stellenbosch College to study Commercial Law and Marketing Management Derik soon realised that the wine industry was where his heart lay. Initially at Darling cellars in the late 90’s Derik has had a plethora of experience. Running the production for SAVISA (now Origin), a stint in London working for Young’s brewery and a role as Production Manager at Lourensford set him in good stead for his new position as Production Manager at Journey’s End Vineyards. When not at work, Derik is happiest in the Kitchen cooking up an array of exciting dishes. His ideal combination would be a fresh German Riesling or a glass of Destination Chardonnay in the Kruger National Park. A pretty dreamy combination if you ask me!
