Leon Esterhuizen

General Manager & Winemaker

Leon Esterhuizen graduated from Elsenburg College (Stellenbosch) in 2003 with a Diploma in Viticulture and Oenology. He joined Journey’s End in 2004 and assisted in the winemaking, and was promoted to winemaker in 2005. His winemaking experience includes harvests at Chappelle Estate in Napa Valley and Bodegas Castano in the Murcia Valley (Spain). His favorite wine is anything containing Bordeaux varietals, such as The Cape Doctor.
