Cape White Colombard/Muscat
An aromatic and dry wine. The Muscat giving white peach flavours, jasmine perfume, which adds dimension and interest to the Colombard’s summer fruit salad base. Fresh and flavourful, the silky texture satisfying enough for drinking on its own, but has enough personality to be confidently matched with lightly spiced dishes and fish dishes.
On this wine we work closely with suppliers in the Western Cape area which were identified as excellent growing areas for Colombard and Muscat. Grapes were carefully selected and sorted before being lightly pressed to preserve the fruit. The then clear juice was fermented in stainless steel tanks for 15 days. Components were harvested separate but blended shortly after fermentation.
